Terms of Use

Last updated 2026-10-05. By using this website you accept these terms.

1. What this service is

Nationwide Electrician Network operates a free advertising and referral service. We publish information about electrical work and connect enquiries to licensed electrical contractors. We are not an electrical contractor, we do not perform electrical work, we do not employ the contractors in the network, and we do not supervise their work.

2. No professional advice

Content on this website — including cost ranges, service descriptions, checklists and guides — is general information for planning purposes only. It is not electrical, engineering, legal, insurance or financial advice, and it cannot account for the specific conditions of your property or your local code. Always have electrical work assessed and performed by a licensed contractor.

3. Estimates and pricing

Price ranges published on this site are national editorial estimates based on published 2026 US market data. They are not quotes, they are not offers, and they are not a promise of the price any contractor will charge. Your actual cost is determined solely by the contractor you engage and the written estimate or contract you agree with them.

4. Your relationship with contractors

Any agreement for work is strictly between you and the contractor you choose. That includes the scope, the price, the schedule, the warranty, insurance, permits and the quality of the work. We are not a party to that agreement and are not responsible for the acts or omissions of any contractor. We do not endorse or guarantee any particular contractor, and inclusion in the network is not a representation about the quality of their work.

5. Licensing, permits and code

Electrical licensing, permit and inspection requirements vary by state, county and city, and change over time. Information on this site about practice is general and may not reflect the rules that apply to your address. It is your responsibility to confirm that any contractor is appropriately licensed and insured and that required permits are obtained.

6. Acceptable use

  • Do not use this site to commit fraud or to submit false service requests.
  • Do not scrape, mirror or republish substantial portions of the content without permission.
  • Do not attempt to disrupt or overload the service or its hosting infrastructure.
  • Do not use automated tools to submit repeated requests through the phone or web channels.

7. Intellectual property

Site design, written content and original data compilations on this site are owned by Nationwide Electrician Network unless otherwise credited. Geographic data is derived from the GeoNames dataset, used under a Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 licence. Map imagery is provided by third-party mapping providers and remains subject to their terms.

8. Availability and changes

The site is provided on an "as available" basis. We may change, suspend or discontinue any part of the service — including coverage in a particular ZIP code — at any time. We do not guarantee uninterrupted availability, and we are not liable for interruptions.

9. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Nationwide Electrician Network is not liable for indirect, incidental, consequential or special damages arising from your use of this site or from services performed by any contractor. Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded.

10. Contact
